SELF-CARE

self-care practices made simple

The Simply Self-Care series is my journey engaging the vast, and often overwhelming, sea of information surrounding wellness care. While I love learning, I am easily overwhelmed by new information. I find that I avoid valuable books, documentaries, classes and workshops because I question my capacity to process and apply new information.

I'm curious, observant, imaginative and creative. As a result, I have found that my best learning is usually connected to experiences, relationships and creativity. I'm also a teacher so a lot of information has a greater impact when I have some kind of teaching path connected to what I'm processing.

The Simply Self-Care series is me bravely joining my struggle with my strength as I read the books and attend the workshops and then creatively simplify all of it. I've jumped into this ocean of insight and information surrounding self-care and I'm learning how to swim by inviting conversations and teaching the material through creative investments. I'm delighted to have you join me.

During stress and dis-regulation, tools of self-soothing, support and strengthening need to be easily accessible. With intentional practice, we can develop an internal triage to assess our needs and access safe, meaningful support.

This series is an ongoing, shared effort to turn some of the ideas and concepts of self-care into tangible, measurable and transformative practices. Click on the images below for resources related to each category. All of our resources are free for your personal use.
